Executive Director of Communications
Diane Fusilli joins the Academy with more than two decades of experience in leading and advising mission driven organizations on their strategic brand communications. Her work has taken her throughout the developed and emerging world, working most recently as a communications consultant to philanthropic organizations, academic institutions, and IGOs seeking greater global prominence and impact.
A former Director of Communications for the Rockefeller Foundation, Ms. Fusilli led communications around a number of critical issues, from developing a new brand model for nonprofits to helping seed the next Green Revolution in Africa. Prior to the Foundation, Ms. Fusilli was the Director of Strategic Communications for Management Sciences for Health (MSH), where she built a global communications unit while serving as a USAID contractor responsible for developing leadership communications programs for Ministries of Health throughout the world, particularly in Sub Saharan Africa and South Asia.
Ms. Fusilli’s work has been widely recognized by her peers. Awards have included PR WEEK’s Brand Campaign of the Year and a CIPRA Award for Outstanding Nonprofit Campaign of the Year. She is a welcome speaker and trainer on communications strategy for philanthropy.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Newhouse School of Journalism, Syracuse University.
