Dan Hussain is President and Chairman of American Pioneer Ventures, and serves as Vice President of Pioneer Energy, a company he co-founded in 2006. Dan retired from his position as President of KD Secure, a company he co-founded in 2007. Previously, Dan worked for the law firm Frommer, Lawrence, and Haug, LLP, a New York patent boutique firm, where he obtained patents for companies such as Siemens, Sony, and other international companies. He also assisted with patent litigation for patent holding companies, including Rembrandt Management Group. Mr. Hussain passed the Bar Exam for the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 2006, becoming a Registered Patent Agent (Registration No. 59,026). Before for this Mr. Hussain worked for NASA, at the Goddard Space Flight Center, as well as for Siemens Corporation in the Siemens Corporate Research division.

Mr. Hussain was educated at MIT in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, and computer science, and also studied internet and intellectual property law at Harvard and theoretical geophysics at the University of Cambridge (UK). Mr. Hussain ultimately graduated with a degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from MIT. Dan is also currently pursuing a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
