  • Summer Program at the Aquarium: Tidal Tykes

    June 24 - July 7, 2012
    New York Aquarium, Surf Ave. & West 8th St., Brooklyn

    This summer, The New York Aquarium is offering morning and afternoon programs for toddlers ages 2–3, and week-long camps for children ages 6–14. Campers will engage in special investigations, interactive games, creative projects, animal guests, and much more. Toddlers and their caregivers will enjoy marine-themed crafts, stories and songs, and visits with the animals.

    Tidal Tykes is a summer program for children ages 2–3, with one accompanying adult.

    Spend time with your toddler exploring the wonders of the ocean during these fun-filled programs that includes stories, songs, and an adventure in the aquarium. Sign up for one or both programs.

    Spineless Wonders: Sunday, June 24, 2012

    Learn about fascinating marine invertebrates through hands-on experiences with animals in our touch tank, role-play activities, and craft projects they make to take home.

    Session A: 10:00–11:00 AM
    Session B: 11:30 AM–12:30 PM


    Fishy Times: Saturday July 7th, 2012

    You and your child will explore the amazing diversity of fish through active play and touching cool artifacts like scales, jaws, and fins! Your child will make a fin-tastic project to take home as a memento. The program will end with a visit to some of our amazing fish.

    Session A: 10:00–11:00 AM
    Session B: 11:30 AM–12:30 PM
