Make Your Meeting Green
Not only does the Academy have a green space, but we are striving everyday to make sure we can provide you with the highest quality green meetings.
Green Meeting Standards
Always looking for new ways to reduce the carbon-footprint of our events, we're establishing a set of green meeting standards. Read an outline of some of these practices below:
| » | Silverware, glass and china (no plastic) |
| » | Water stations (water coolers with glass instead of plastic) |
| » | When individual bottled water is required, use bottles made from a majority of recycled materials |
| » | Recycling receptacles available for recyclable garbage |
| » | All rooms temperature and light controlled per the event time instructions |
| » | Rain and refuse water recycled throughout the building including the fountain in the park in the front of 7WTC |
| » | Customized local and organic menus available |
| » | Specially tempered glass to refract the heat from the sun |
| » | Select green specialty beverages available (such as zero-carbon wine) |
| » | Green business cards given out with the Conference Center URL in lieu of brochures |
