The Academy organizes two annual awards to support and promote the achievement of young scientists in the New York area.
The New York Academy of Sciences Blavatnik Awards for Young scientists were created in 2007 to acknowledge the excellence of our most noteworthy young scientists and engineers in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Finalists and winners receive unrestricted financial support thanks to the generosity of the Blavatnik Charitable Foundation.
The New York Academy of Sciences Innovation in Industry Awards celebrate the excellence of our most innovative young scientists and engineers in industry, and recognize the great contributions that young scientists in industry make to research, development, and innovation.
In addition, the Aspen Brain Forum Prize will be presented annually at an Academy conference located in Aspen, Colorado.
