The Call for Nominations for the 2008 New York Academy of Sciences Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists closed on March 1, 2008. The Academy thanks the scientific community in the tri-state area for your interest and support.
The New York Academy of Sciences Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists have been created to celebrate the excellence of our most noteworthy and innovative young scientists from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The awards will recognize accomplishments in the sciences and engineering by providing up to $25,000 in unrestricted funds. These awards have been made possible thanks to the generosity of the Blavatnik Charitable Trust.
Over the coming months, a distinguished panel of judges from academia, not-for-profit research, and industry will determine the recipients of the 2008 Blavatnik Awards during three rounds of evaluation. The finalists will be announced at the end of June 2008.
