Join us for our celebratory launch event to meet fellow women in science from the greater NYC metropolitan area!
At this inaugural event, we will solicit ideas for future New York Women in STEM (NYWiSTEM) and Science Alliance events and programming. An expert panel of women scientists will also provide insight on opportunities, experiences, and mentors that helped to propel their careers.
Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. All women graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are welcome to attend.
NYWiSTEM is a group that advocates for the professional and personal goals of women graduate and postdoctoral fellows in the greater NYC metropolitan region.
By participating in NYWiSTEM , you become a vital part of a network of support and mentorship across institutions, receive access to professional development opportunities, and have a forum for ongoing discussions of concerns specific to the early stages of a women scientist's career.
NYWiSTEM is supported by Science Alliance, a program of The New York Academy of Science, which helps young scientists—in New York City and beyond—attain successful and rewarding careers. More than 2,500 women from greater NYC’s academic institutions are already partners of Science Alliance. You may already be a member! Check here to see if your institution or organization is on the list.
Can't make it? Submit your ideas at our online forum on the NYWiSTEM webpage.
