Junior Science and Humanities Symposium

Students from around the city compete for a chance to present their research projects at the National JSHS in May 2006.

Please note that as of summer 2007, the New York Academy of Sciences has suspended its role in organizing the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium. If you have questions about next year's fair, please contact:

The Metro NYC Junior Science and Humanities Symposium is an opportunity for students to demonstrate proficiency in higher-order thinking skills through the process of scientific inquiry, writing a scientific paper, and delivering a presentation. The JSHS provides a forum for students to present the results of their original research in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
