The Academy launched the Green Science and Sustainability program in fall 2006. This program provides a neutral and critical forum for the exchange of new ideas and data in key scientific areas that address the environmental challenges facing our society today, with a goal of furthering the reevaluation of environmental and energy strategies worldwide.

With Gold status under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system, the Academy’s home at 7 World Trade Center is at the forefront of sustainable development. We make sure to incorporate sustainable practices not only into our facilities but also into our day-to-day operations and all the events we host.
