Be a guest contributor to the Fall 2017 edition of the New York Academy of Sciences Magazine:

The next edition of the Magazine will be published in October and the theme will be “Imagine 300”. As you know the Academy is celebrating its bicentennial year and we are proud of our accomplishments and legacy. As we move in to our third century, we will be thinking about what future scientific discoveries might bring us. If you would like to submit your thoughts on what the coming decades of scientific research might hold, the following are our editorial guidelines:

  • All submissions must be no longer than 300 words and reflect your own personal ideas. Quotes or papers used as part of your submission must be a credited with the appropriate source.

  • Please include your name, title, institution and location.

  • We welcome ideas about all scientific disciplines as well as engineering and computer science.

  • We are also interested in hearing your thoughts about science education, new technologies and potential dynamic new industries of the future.

  • All submissions must be submitted no later than August 1, 2017.

  • The magazine’s editorial board will review all submissions and let you know if yours has been selected for publication.
