Since its founding in 1817, the New York Academy of Sciences has played a vital role in shaping both the cultural landscape of New York City and important dialogue within the international scientific community. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization, the Academy provides a neutral forum in which industry, academia, and government convene to address some of the most cutting-edge topics in science. Its mission is threefold:
- advance scientific knowledge
- help resolve global challenges with science-based solutions
- increase the number of scientifically informed individuals
The continued success of our programs relies on the generosity of corporate partners, foundations, and individual contributors. Whether you are an individual or represent a business or other institution, you can help to ensure that the Academy has the resources to provide unique services to the global scientific community and the public at large.

Corporate Membership in the Academy offers opportunities for companies of any size, regardless of geographical location.
Your support of the Frontiers of Science program will help the Academy convene professional scientific conferences and symposia on cutting-edge topics in the life sciences, physical sciences, and green science and sustainability. Bringing together international experts and partners from academia, industry, government, and NGOs, Frontiers of Science provides a neutral forum for participants to exchange information on basic and applied research and on the broader role of science, medicine, and technology in society.
