The scientific and engineering papers in this volume provide insight into various aspects of transport phenomena in microgravity research including microgravity fluid, thermal, biological and materials sciences. With several space-shuttle experiments conducted over the last ten to fifteen years, significant new insights have been gained into various physical phenomena under microgravity conditions. This volume seeks to provide suggestions for new directions in microgravity research with particular regard to interdisciplinary activity involving the various aspects of transport phenomena.
