It includes reviews of the findings of agencies and individuals who worked on the detection, surveillance, control, treatment, management, and other aspects of West Nile virus in the summer of 2000. The papers enhance understanding of the particular problems associated with WNV, outline effective coordination efforts, and discuss intervention options.
