Robert Nolan

Senior Director of Digitization and Data Engineering

PepsiCo

Robert is the Senior Director of Digitization and Data Engineering in R&D. He is passionate about creating enterprise level solutions which connect and leverage the large number of data generating systems in PepsiCo. He is similarly passionate about supporting continuous learning in a corporate environment.

With a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, and a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Development, Robert spent the first 15 years of his career in the Telecoms Industry with Ericsson and Motorola. During this time he alternated between technical software development and data related roles to training and learning focused roles.

Robert joined PepsiCo in 2010 and led PepsiCo’s Quality and Food Safety education strategy before focusing again on the data and systems space. He leads a technical team of data engineers in Cork and New York and relishes the challenge and the opportunity that emerging technology and the Internet of Things brings to industry.

Outside of work, Robert is keen sports fan and student of emerging trends in science and technology.
