Jacqueline Kravetz joins the Academy with nearly two decades in the non-profit sector. She received her grounding in fundraising from a seven year tenure at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where she learned the ins and outs of general and project-specific fundraising and donor cultivation and was part of a team responsible for raising $14 million annually.
Since leaving BAM, she has worked both on staff and as a consultant with a range of non-profit organizations, including Aperture Foundation, Blind Spot magazine, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Mabou Mines, Performance Space 122 and New York Theatre Workshop, among others – grant writing, planning and managing events, developing strategic funding and organizational plans for annual, capital and endowment campaigns, overseeing board development, cultivating major funders (foundation, corporate and individual), and spearheading the development and implementation of traditional and grassroots marketing campaigns.
Most recently, she was Director, Institutional Giving at WNET/Thirteen, New York City’s flagship PBS station, where she led a team that raised approximately $14 million annually to support legacy programs and special projects.
Jacqueline has a BA from Smith College and received a United Way Fellowship to Baruch College’s School of Public Affairs where she is completing her masters in policy analysis and evaluation.
