Margaret Ceres joined the Academy in 2013 as Director of Membership, responsible for growing and engaging the Academy's Membership community in the New York area and around the globe. She was promoted to SVP, Communications & Network Engagement in 2016, and currently leads the Academy’s Communications, Marketing and Membership teams.
A loyalty marketing professional with over 12 years of experience, Margaret comes to the Academy from American Express, where she led teams focused on building global marketing partnerships and translating customer insights into integrated marketing strategies. Her decade with Amex included 4 years in their London office, where she managed a multinational field marketing team distributed across four European markets. Prior to joining the Academy, she was a Director for American Express Membership Rewards at the company headquarters in New York.
Before obtaining her MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Margaret held a commission with the US Foreign Service, where she served tours at the US Embassies in Chile and Côte d'Ivoire. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
