The filing of U.S. income tax returns each year can be an extremely confusing and daunting process, even more so if you are not a U.S. citizen. The Rockefeller University is offering a workshop to alleviate the confusion and smooth the process of tax return filing for foreign students and scholars.

Richard Locastro, Senior Director of Tax Consulting at Arctic International, will be presenting the workshop. He plans to discuss the U.S. tax return filing requirements for non-U.S. residents as well as address U.S. residency status determination; the completion of Form 8843, Form 1040NR, and Form 1040NR-EZ; and other relevant topics. Following his presentation, there will be a question and answer period.

All student and postdoc members of the Science Alliance, as well as all of The Rockefeller University and the Memorial Sloan Kettering communities, are free to attend.

NOTE: University personnel cannot prepare your income tax return for you, so you are invited to attend this seminar to help you better understand the process.
