The Physical Sciences and Engineering program at The New York Academy of Sciences is proud to collaborate on this event with New Energy New York and the Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center (E2TAC) at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE).
The event will be held at CNSE's Albany NanoTech complex.
The New Energy Symposium offers a unique chance to share industry trends, threats, and opportunities as they relate to emerging energy technologies. The Symposium also provides the opportunity to meet with executives from the academia, government, and industry sectors who take an interest in the future of energy in the United States.
The Symposium has been expanded to two days with the addition of a New York Hydrogen Expo on July 30. The Expo is organized in partnership with the Energetics, the National Hydrogen Association, and NYSERDA. The program features:
- Hydrogen technology demonstrations
- Student and public educational programs
- Presentations by representatives from hydrogen organizations
- Hydrogen-related career information
The second day of the Symposium will expand on the Hydrogen Expo by bringing in experts to discuss key topics in the energy debate including:
- Biofuels
- Photovoltaics
- Energy efficiency
- Investment opportunities
- Energy policy
- Green corporations
