From Idea to IPO: The Technology Venture Course (13 week course)
Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - Tuesday, April 14, 2009
The New York Academy of Sciences
Course Description
Increasingly, science researchers are engaging in or starting entrepreneurial ventures. Unfortunately, traditional education in the sciences and technology does not include practical information about translating scientific research into viable commercial ventures. This 13 week course is specifically designed for graduate students, postdocs and science entrepreneurs who want to build businesses that commercialize university-owned intellectual property or have a deeper understanding of the issues involved in taking the right idea from the laboratory to the marketplace.
