From lockdown in China and Italy, to California’s shelter in place, to New York State on PAUSE - which measures are effectively flattening the exponential curve of COVID-19 spread, and why? How can we take lessons learned from COVID-19 responses internationally and apply them to newly emerging hotspots? Moreover, as new cases in China dwindle, the lockdown in Wuhan has been lifted, and Italy and Spain are also taking cautious steps to ease restrictions. People are slowly returning to work, but the impact on the spread of coronavirus remains unknown. How likely is a resurgence and further need for isolation measures? This discussion will compare global approaches taken to combat COVID-19 and discuss strategies for lifting restrictions as infections decline.
