Afterschool STEM Mentoring in the New York City Area
Calling all New York-based graduate students and postdoctoral fellows! The Academy is currently recruiting STEM enthusiasts for its Afterschool STEM Mentoring Program. Now entering its fifth year, this program has successfully paired mentors with middle school students at community-based afterschool programs from late October through late March. Mentors can choose to teach a variety of curriculum ranging from genetics to space science and can receive an Academy Mentoring Credential for completing a semester of teaching and training.

STEM Mentoring Opportunity for US Scientists
Are you a US scientist with an ability to meet up with students virtually over the web? Do you have an interest in tackling the water challenges facing many communities around the world? Imagining Tomorrow: H2O is looking for volunteers with expertise in water, sustainability, environmental science, technology, and/or innovation to serve as mentors for the Imagining Tomorrow: H2O challenge.
The Global STEM Alliance of the New York Academy of Sciences is teaming up with Sister Cities International (SCI) and Sqore to challenge middle and high school students from around the world to take the lead in solving water issues in their communities. As a mentor you'll be helping the students embark on this exciting challenge.
