Psychology Section Seeks Cattell Awards Applications (1)

Nominations may be submitted for the 39th annual competition for an outstanding doctoral dissertation in psychology until October 31, 2009.

The Psychology Section of the New York Academy of Sciences announced the 39th annual competition for the James McKeen Cattell Award for an outstanding doctoral dissertation in psychology. The competition is limited to graduate students of accredited doctoral programs who have either attained degrees or successfully defended their dissertations between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009.

Each department or program is invited to nominate just one dissertation no later than Saturday, October 31, 2009. Psychology Section leaders have said that they hope for a geographically and scientifically diverse pool of applicants.
