Women in Science Fellows Meet Afterschool Students

Published November 14, 2018

The 15th L’Oréal Women in Science Fellows led STEM workshops at the NY Museum School as part of the New York Academy of Sciences' Afterschool STEM Mentoring Program (ASMP).

Each year, L’Oréal USA awards five female postdoctoral scientists grants of $60,000 to advance their research. L’Oréal and the Academy recently teamed up at an afterschool event to give middle school students at NY Museum School access to these inspiring scientists.

ASMP brings undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, and STEM professionals to selected afterschool program sites in New York to serve as mentors and STEM role models for middle school students. The program is currently recruiting for locations in New York City, NY. Sign up today.
