Berlien Reelected President of the Berlin Society of Science

Hans-Peter Berlien, a professor of laser medicine at the Freie Universität Berlin and head of the Department for Laser Medicine at the Elisabeth Klinik Berlin, has been elected to a second term as president of the Berlin Society of Science (Berliner Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft). Berlien holds the first German chair in laser medicine and is known for relying on interdisciplinary discourse in his research on the medical laser and its fields of applications, such as vascular malformations or infantile hemangiomas, which he said he will continue to promote as president of the Society.
