Summary
Autoimmunity Meets Innovation: Drugs and Devices will bring together leading researchers, clinicians, and industry innovators to explore the next generation of therapies that are transforming treatments for autoimmune diseases.
In the United States alone, 23 million people live with autoimmune diseases. Yet for many patients with systemic autoimmune conditions, current drugs and targeted therapies provide only partial relief—or fail to work altogether. Existing treatments often come with significant side effects, largely due to their broad suppression or modification of the immune system. There is a critical need for the development of more effective intervention strategies to improve disease management in autoimmune diseases. This symposium will showcase cutting-edge research and highlight promising approaches in areas such as neuromodulation of immunity and cell trafficking, the cellular and molecular basis of acupuncture for neuroimmunology, sensory mechanisms of immunity, and updates from clinical trials of novel devices and targeted therapies.
In addition to keynote lectures and plenary talks, the program features industry updates, short talks selected from abstracts, and a panel discussion. Ample networking opportunities will give participants the chance to connect with peers, collaborators, and leaders shaping the future of autoimmune disease treatment.
