The Future of STEM: Our Young Members

Each year the Academy welcomes hundreds of Young Members (aged 13-18) from around the world via our Global STEM Alliance mentoring and education programs. Our Young Members are an incredibly diverse group of innovators, explorers and problem-solvers, united by a shared curiosity about the universe and a strong commitment to changing the world through STEM.

How Do I Become a Young Member?

Students aged 13-18 who are accepted into the programs below will automatically become Young Members of the New York Academy of Sciences, entitling them to a digital Membership badge, free access to selected Academy content, and a complimentary year of Student/Postdoc Membership when they turn 18.
