The Leon Levy Scholarships in Neuroscience (LLSN)

The Leon Levy Scholarships in Neuroscience promote groundbreaking neuroscience research in the five boroughs of New York City. The scholarships support the most innovative young researchers at a critical stage of their careers—their postdoctoral research—as they develop the new ideas and directions that will help establish them as independent neuroscientists.

The Artificial Intelligence and Society Fellowship Program

The AI and Society Fellowship Program brings promising young researchers to participate in a curated research program housed at the Academy, in partnership with Arizona State University. Merging technical AI research with perspectives from the social sciences and humanities, the program seeks to develop a new generation of multidisciplinary scholars prepared to inform the future use of AI in society for the benefit of humankind.

The Junior Academy

The Junior Academy introduces exceptional students to an online community where they gain access to best-in-class STEM resources and work together to solve real-world problems. STEM professionals mentor student teams during 60-day innovation challenges sponsored by industry-leading companies via Launchpad, our interactive challenge platform. Students and mentors can participate from anywhere in the world and can choose from multiple challenges offered each year.

Tata Transformation Prize

The Tata Transformation Prize will support breakthrough, innovative technologies that address India’s greatest challenges. By recognizing and supporting the implementation at scale of high-risk, high-reward research, the Prize will drive impactful innovation in scientific disciplines of importance to India’s societal needs and economic competitiveness.

Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists

The Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists, established in 2007 by the Blavatnik Family Foundation and independently administered by The New York Academy of Sciences, identify and honor exceptional young scientists and engineers 42 years of age and younger.
