Press Guidelines

Effective communication and outreach are essential for the Academy to fulfill its mission, and this includes coverage from external media outlets.

We ask that members of the media mention The New York Academy of Sciences as the event host in any write-ups or articles that result from attendance at this event. Please note that on first reference the name of our organization is The New York Academy of Sciences (with cap T) – the Academy thereafter. We also request that media representatives refrain from using any unpublished data presented without permission from the presenter, and that if you are planning to video/audio record the event, that you clear it with The New York Academy of Sciences media team beforehand.
